“Match The Mission” with Lake Life Realty and Stephens Landscaping

Brie Stephens, the founder of Lake Life Realty, is committed to working for the benefit of her clients. For her, success is securing a better than average price and minimizing days on market. Perhaps that’s why Lake Life Realty consistently leads the Lakes Region in more transactions per agent. In fact, the agency also holds the highest unit and volume per agent annually in the area. Brie points out each member of the team is from a different area around the lake to better educate their clients and allows the agents to specialize in what they know best.

Lake Life Realty also believes in giving back to the Lakes Region community. “We get involved year-round in fundraisers. We love to support local organizations and spread awareness - mingle and jingle at the same time”, she says. Giving back to the community began many years ago when Lake Life Realty established their Client Choice Charity Program where a portion of the agent’s commission goes to a charity selected by the buyer. She feels it’s important for buyers to know from day one that the Lakes Region is a generous, community-oriented place.

This year, Brie had a lightbulb moment: what if she could use her business donation to both raise awareness and bring the community together in support of the Children’s Auction? “There are so many worthy causes out there”, she explains, “but the Auction consolidates donations and turns them into meaningful grants for more than 60 nonprofits serving children and families across the Lakes Region.”

Her brainstorm involved inviting her husband John’s company, Stephens Landscaping Professionals, to unite in what they’re calling, “Match the Mission”. Together, Lake Life Realty and Stephens Landscaping Professionals pledged $10,000 each, and they’re calling on the community to match that with another $10,000. “Together, we can raise $30,000+ to directly benefit local kids and families in need this holiday season. No donation is too small — whether it's $10 or $1,000 - every dollar helps us reach our goal and makes a real impact in our community. Let’s do this together!”, expressed Brie.

When Brie presented the idea to Children’s Auction Executive Director, Jennifer Kelley, it was met with enthusiastic support. “Thank you, Brie and John Stevens, for your incredible and creative initiative for Match the Mission. Your generous donations of $10,000 each from Lake Life Realty and Stevens Landscaping, along with your invitation to the community to match or donate another $10,000, truly exemplify the spirit of collaboration and support for our cause.”

This community has shown incredible generosity, with numerous organizations and individuals stepping up to support those in need this year. With a record high of 82 grant applications totaling over $1.1 million, we are urging everyone to dig deep and contribute, as funding all these requests would significantly impact the lives of over 42,000 local children in need.

The collaboration with Stephens Landscaping feels natural to Brie as John Stephens often consults with her clients about property development. With John’s technical know-how and knowledge of the permitting process, together they can guide buyers through potential tear-downs to new builds and everything in between. Brie says that kind of competence builds trust, and offers an extra dimension for their clients embarking on projects in unfamiliar territory.

The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction salutes Lake Life Realty and Stephens Landscaping Professionals for creating “Match the Mission” and encourages everyone to join this amazing community effort.
