As we continue our journey through this unprecedented maze of COVID-19 and the Governor's Orders to stay at home, we have watched as our community banded together to make beautiful things happen in a world of uncertainty. Restaurants are opening their doors to help those in need. Businesses are raising money to support our local Boys and Girls clubs and Got Lunch programs, so that food will be provided to those children in need. We're heartened by the efforts of our local businesses and community.
The Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction has been constant in our community, helping local children and families for 39 years. This year may look a little different come Auction time, but in the meantime, the GLRCA Board has decided to purchase gift certificates (to be used at a later date) from these businesses in their time of need. These businesses have donated money, items and time to the Auction for our community and this is just a small token of what we can do to give back to them.
We are offering a contest for our community. Weekly, if you post a photo on the Children's Auction Facebook, you will be entered into a contest to win one of the weekly prizes to a restaurant or business in our area.
All you have to do is dine out, order out, or buy a gift card, or purchase from a local establishment and then take a photo while you are there. Add the photo on the Children's Auction Facebook Drawing post which is pinned at the top and you will be entered into that week's contest. We will draw the winner and mail the gift certificate to you! Please follow our Facebook page if you have not already!
