    Woodland Heights Elementary School's commitment to the Auction started a long time ago, we were radio only with Warren Bailey was at the Helm. Their Children Auction Fund Raiser is a Coin Drive and their goal is to cover the Stage Floor in coins. The teachers work with them and have integrated it into several learning units across their curriculums. Ed Darling, whose sons and four of their six grandchildren are alumni of Woodland Heights Elementary School covering over 35 years!   • Every Bidder can Place a MAX BID on any item during the 2023 Children's Auction!

    The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction, running this year from Tuesday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec 8, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Belknap Marketplace, announces that starting at 8 a.m. on Black Friday, Nov. 24 through Tuesday, Dec. 5, any registered auction bidder can go online to ChildrensAuction.org and bid early on high-value items. Even place a max bid if you choose on any and all items and receive a text if you are outbid. New items are being added every day. Early auction bidding on items is open to everyone who creates an online account at ChildrensAuction.org. All items will close during the auction. The auction is still looking for items of any value for this year’s event. While many items have been received at this time, there is a need for thousands of items to raise enough money to meet the needs of the community. Auction leaders will collect new, unused, unwrapped items right up to the week of the auction. Gift cards, electronics, tools, toys, sporting goods and household items all bring the highest bids. Also we will have a collection drop-off at The Belknap Marketplace in Belmont on Nov 24 & 25 from 10am-2pm and again on Dec 2-4 from 10am-2pm. The 42nd Annual Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction is presented by Hannaford Supermarkets. The Action airs daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 8, Auction volunteers and Community Challenge Teams will come together to announce the total funds raised for children and families in need.   • Slime Pop-up Shop at The Studio on Nov 17 & 18th to benefit the Children’s Auction

    The Studio, located at 598 Main Street in Laconia, will host slime-maker Julius Lorentz on Friday Nov 17th from 2-5pm and Saturday Nov 18th from 10am-2pm. All proceeds will go to the Children’s Auction. In keeping with the unique and fun atmosphere of The Studio, Lorentz will bring his imaginative handmade slimes to the mix this week. He says “Some people think slime is a gross, green, goopy mess” but with names like “Fire & Ice,” “Sunset Ice Cream,” and “Autumn Leaves,” Julius proves otherwise. His slimes have a variety of colors, textures, and scents. They are great for relaxation, dexterity, and are enjoyable for all ages. Slime is a great gift for the holidays. His brand: “Jrlslime” sells locally, as well as online (on Etsy) to enthusiasts throughout the country.
