With the partnership of craft fair organizers in Belmont, FBLA, and Gilford, area crafters will have the opportunity to share their talents to benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction. Holiday craft fairs on Saturday, November 9 at Belmont High School, 255 Seavey Road and on Saturday, December 7 at Gilford High School, Alvah Wilson Road will offer a convenient way to donate items to the auction. Volunteers will staff a table to collect donations from crafters and inform visitors of Where Our Money Goes providing grants to over 80 nonprofit organizations.
Gilford Craft Fair Coordinator Meg Jenkins shared, “The auction does so much to support the families in our district. We really feel it is important to maintain our alliance and allow crafters to collectively support this community resource by donating items.”
Jeff Malcolm, Future Business Leaders of America Advisor and Belmont Fair Coordinator, along with FBLA President Morgan Maltais, agree that it’s a perfect way to involve students and crafters to support their neighbors and children in need. Crafters also benefit from promotion of their products on local radio and TV broadcasts during the live auction.
Belmont and Gilford fairs attract a high level of customer traffic and offer exceptional crafts and lunch options.
Items will be collected and processed by volunteers to kick off the Children’s Auction at the Belknap Marketplace, 96 DW Highway in Belmont on Tuesday, Dec 10 through Friday, Dec 13, 9am to 7pm daily.
