Mark you Calendar for the Children's Auction Dec 6-9 at The Belknap Marketplace in Belmont

Join us for the 41st Annual Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction, presented by Hannaford Supermarkets, Tuesday, December 6- Friday, December 9 live at the Belknap Marketplace in Belmont, NH.

The Auction airs daily from 9AM – 7PM. Each day will be filled with terrific items up for bid, on-air fun and appearances from friends and neighbors throughout the community. On Friday, December 9, Auction volunteers will come together to announce the total funds raised for children and families in need. Don’t miss it!

Although the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction doesn’t officially start until Tuesday, Dec. 6, the organization’s executive director Jennifer Kelley said people can pre-bid on high-priced items this year.

“We listened to all the people who were talking about the auction, and they said it would be so great to see some of the more expensive items in advance,” Kelley explained. “So on Black Friday, which is Nov. 25, we are going to highlight any item that is $300 or more and people can start pre-bidding on it.”

Donations for the $300-plus items are due Tuesday, Nov. 15. Just drop off your items at any of the many collection sites by Nov 15th. Donation sites can be found at childrensauction.org.

More details:

The Belknap Marketplace, located on Route 3 in Belmont, is the recent shopping center acquisition of Vernet Properties. People in the Lakes Region knew the property as the Belknap Mall. The new owners have renovated, are signing new tenants, and have changed the name to The Belknap Marketplace to reflect its re-emergence as a multi-use destination in the area. George Vernet, principal and founder of Vernet Properties, is delighted that The Marketplace will be a part of the Auction.

“It is an honor to be associated with such an outstanding organization as the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction,” states Vernet. “They provide so much to the Lakes Region community. The Belknap Marketplace looks forward to hosting this event that financially supports local children and families in need.”

Jennifer Kelley, GLRCA Executive Director, is thrilled to hold the Auction at The Belknap Marketplace. “We are grateful to everyone at The Marketplace for welcoming our hundreds of Auction volunteers into their space,” she states. “The Auction is such a valuable community event. Business leaders throughout the Lakes Region continue to show their generosity to the Auction as we raise funds to financially support local, low-income children and families. Thanks to everyone at Vernet Properties for welcoming the Auction to The Marketplace!”

Come experience the Auction in person at The Marketplace! The week always holds fun surprises. The Marketplace offers plenty of convenient parking, and there will be plenty of in-person viewing on set. Join us December 6-9 to be part of the magic!
