Juggernaut Fitness is the presenting sponsor for Christmas in July, a fundraiser for The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction. The gym also does an annual community-wide event called Raise The Run that benefits the Auction on July 13th. Co-owner Anna Terry, a 2020 Children's Auction Champion, says it’s important to give back, especially since years ago, she and her mother were beneficiaries of aid from the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Anna says the Children’s Auction fund recipient ensured she and her mom had food, furniture and a roof over their heads.
The word, juggernaut, means an overwhelming force, something that is unstoppable. Terry says that is the attitude they grow in their clients to deal with injury recovery, degenerative disease or improving one’s health. Juggernaut’s focus is on healthy living, long-term independence and building healthy long-term habits. Terry says her average client is in their 50s or 60s and her oldest client is a 77-year-old man with Parkinson’s Disease who she says is more active than many others in the gym. Terry’s mother recently had knee replacement surgery and worked with Juggernaut’s athletic trainer to prepare for the surgery. She is walking without support just two weeks after surgery and attributes her unusually quick recovery to what she learned at the gym.
Terry says children can also be found at the gym and Juggernaut even hosts birthday parties!
